West Coast Kitchen in the Rockies!

Thank you so much for making such delicious meals that fuelled our journey! On a journey full of figurative and literal ups and downs, our West Coast Kitchen meals provided us with consistent joy twice a day! Having never tried a meal before committing to eating solely these meals for 9 days straight, we were in for a wonderful surprise as every meal was as good as the next!

from 58 reviewsNice spicy flavour. Meat takes awhile to rehydrate so make sure you give it enough time. Extremely good meal. Loved it.
Great taste and very filling. I only used half as I was testing it out. Rehydrated very well and the taste was fantastic.

Haven’t tried them yet but think the shelf life of 10 years is great.

Easy to prepare meals, just add boiling hot water and wait some minutes. Texture is of meat is a bit chewy. Overall, tastes awesome!

I never review things, but my partner and I agreed that the Butter Chicken with Rice was one of the best backpacking meals we’ve ever had. Bought this on a whim at a market and when we tried it on the trail, we kept in mind that it’s bagged food and not from a restaurant… we were blown away by how flavourful and satisfying it was - far exceeding expectations. We will certainly be buying this for our future trips and we recommend it to all of our friends.

Really great flavour and such easy prep.

Stumbled upon West Coast Kitchen at the Toronto Outdoor Aventure Show and bought the Butter Chicken entree to try for an upcoming backpacking multiday hike. The only thing I can say is WOW. Easy and really tasty. Earned my repeat business

The best backpacking meal I have ever eaten. And I have tried every meal from a dozen companies since the 90's.

Simply the best yet. Best ever meal out of a bag. In 30 years of eating this stuff.

Simply delicious! Perfectly spicy for me (not too much). The double portion is generous. I had to add a little more water.

Finally a different and terribly delicious meal. It's a change from boring mac & cheese or spaghetti... Enfin un repas différent et terriblement délicieux. Ça change de l’éternel et ennuyeux mac & cheese ou spag…

Delicious meal full of flavour and definitely fills you up with the amount of quinoa and sausage. I would recommend leaving it to hydrate slightly longer than the amount on the package - after 15 minutes with boiled water it still had some crunchy bits. But some may like that!

By far my favourite meal! So much flavour and very filling with the volume of chick peas in a serving. I would eat this every day!

Best breakfast for a hike or hunt you'll find. Great taste and texture, not much water needed.

Tried it out camping for lunch, so tasty

We have just discovered your products and we are so thrilled we did! My son and I took your Butter Chicken w Rice on our recent Juan de Fuca backpacking trip. We each had a single serving. This meal felt so indulgent as we sat on Far East Sombrio Beach! As we were gobbling it up, I actually said out loud, 'I'd eat this again in a minute!'. The flavour and texture was amazing - just sooo tasty! It also rehydrates just as quickly as your packaging indicates. We also really appreciated that there wasn't a surplus of packaging - as we've found with so many other brands - which makes it even more appealing for backpacking. This entre will be a staple on all of our backcountry adventures from now on! Thank you for producing such a fantastic meal option!

I'm a huge fan of @west.coast.kitchen because they use real whole ingredients, without all the dehydrated filler and salt you'll find in othe brands. And the meals are delicious, are quick to prepare and rehydrate well. They also make an awesome dehydrated hummus, guacamole and protein booster which we use to augment other meals.

Coming off Barnby Ridge on the GDT, I made this up on the shore of the Southforks lakes and absolutely loved it. New favorite
