This dish was so filling and tasty. the sweetness of the sultans and the crunch of the pine nuts was a fabulous treat! The quality of the product is just like making dinner at home but while enjoying the beauty of our province.

This summer I saw a new brand on the shelf (West Coast Kitchen) at Valhalla Pure and thought I would get one to try out on an upcoming 9 day traverse of Baffin Island in Canada’s Arctic. I wish I had brought more than just one! This has to be one of the best backcountry meals I have had! The flavor is incredible, it is a good portion size, simple and natural ingredients and made in Canada! Im excited to try more of WCK product!

This was a favourite of ours during a recent eight-day trip in the backcountry. Very tasty. And, as always with the WCK meals, a generous amount for two hungry campers.
Kelly Corbett –
Loved this! So tasty. Highly recommend it. I enjoyed it as a breakfast meal and now I don’t want to go back to boring traditional oats for breakfast.

Out of my order this was the first one I tried and I fell in love! This is SO good! It was a delicious meal and different from all the other meals out there. I could even see this being a great stuffing for a turkey dinner!
Jenna (verified owner) –
This meal was delicious! A good amount of food for two people to share.
Linda Leonard –
Really liked this. So much better than any other dehydrated backpacker food I’ve tried.

The taste and quality is great but I was disappointed with the price. 21.95 at a store in Mill Bay, $2 more than the website. Backpacker’s Pantry at MEC is 7$ less.

Split between 2 hungry adults and we savoured each bite. Incredibly flavour-full! Filled 2 hungry adults and we savoured all the tastes it contained ( raisins, nuts, just so many tastes in one bite)
Amy –
Great flavour and texture. I’d say this is a close second to the Butter Chicken for us.
Kelly –
Delicious meal full of flavour and definitely fills you up with the amount of quinoa and sausage. I would recommend leaving it to hydrate slightly longer than the amount on the package – after 15 minutes with boiled water it still had some crunchy bits. But some may like that!

Simply delicious! Perfectly spicy for me (not too much). The double portion is generous. I had to add a little more water.
